1837 25c W.C. Cozzens & Co. Merchant Scrip from Newport, Rhode Island. 

This scrip was printed in blue and orange. 

Cozzens later became the mayor of Newport, then a state senator, then the lieutenant governor. 

This scrip grades Choice About Uncirculated.
