This is a McIntosh MAC 4100 Receiver, manufactured in the United States. It has been cosmetically restored and is fully functional. It is a retro-style receiver from McIntosh, known for their high-quality audio equipment.
All features of the unit function, all three sets of speakers play. Ground on L 2 however does not spring closed, but it does clamp back down on the wire.
All switches and knobs have been cleaned w/lube for the switches. All knobs were ultrasonically cleaned. All panels were removed to fully remove all dust and few hairs. Recently purchased from a collection of Audiophile gear locally to me. Unit was not very dirty, but all dust has been cleaned away, all glass has been cleaned, dusted behind the glass and the metal face has been polished.
Cleaned all contacts for the headphones and inside all RCA connectors.
The unit did have the original MDF cabinet, but there was crush damage on the front bottom right where the very minor aluminum damage exists, plus there was a paint fingerprint and some small scratches on the top section, leave only one panel in perfect condition I can include in second listing upon request.
Collector's condition Audiophile grade Stereo Receiver capable of powering three sets of speakers, or three sets of independent
Highs, Mids and Subs.
This is a highly sought after unit, that will impress the ears!
