I?m very familiar with this Scotch Guard fabric protection product. I recently had custom cushions, seat covers and new pillows made by a local upholstery shop. I immediately did some on-line comparison shopping and found this 2 pack was the best bargain for Scotch Guard (red can) I was pleased with the smooth spray application and I was beyond pleased with the amount of coverage per can. I would give this product 6 stars

This has worked great on our living room set as well as fabric covered chairs. Be sure to open a window or use in a well ventilated area.

Have used this before and it's a good quality product. Required 4 cans for my recliner sofa with microfiber. Left the windows open and the product smell was gone the next day. Tried to assess the stain resistance by pouring some water on it and it was repelled perfectly fine, so this product does work. I will probably need to spray down the sofa every 1-2 years for protection but overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

This product claims to work for several months but I?m not quite sure that?s the case. We sprayed our furniture and while it did make water roll off during initial test, there are a few caveats. It works when liquid drips, but not so much if you knock over a glass full of something. Also, you have to blot up the liquid IMMEDIATELY. If you take more than 5 seconds to grab a towel some of it will definitely seep into the fabric.3 months after spraying, it seems like it wore off a bit as well. The sections we use most seem to absorb liquid immediately and there is not much of a barrier left. Also, this stuff STINKS! If you spray your furniture, beware that you will not be able to use that room and probably any room adjacent to it for at least 12 hours. We sprayed our living room furniture in the evening, opened the windows downstairs and went to sleep upstairs with our bedroom where the windows were also open yet I could still smell it all night long and well into the next day

Excellent choose in stain resisting product !Pros:- really does protect furniture , we used on new light tan fabric dinning chairs- no discoloration of our chairs after use- already had a spill and it was able to wipe up and wash out easilyCons:- smell is super strong and do not recommend doing indoors. We did in garage and waited 24 hours before brining them in and still made our house smell like it for a few days.

As always Scotch Guard stands up to it's impressive reputation. This set arrived perfect and as ordered.I used it on my new family room cream colored couch, set of knee high leather boots and an outdoor patio furniture cushion set. The water or actually any fluid just beads up into balls if it is spilled on the treated area. Just place a paper towel on top of the beads of water and let it absorbed the fluid. This protectant is great for any spills..Chocolate milk, spaghetti, juice, soda. Also salt water and rain.It will save you alot of grief.

Works for cloth and suede. I also use it for white shoes. Wears away with time but Bret for keeping my white suede clean. It does darken the color. My white suede looks like gray now. Just be aware of the possibility of slight color change.
5.0 out of 5 stars Got a little overzealous and used two full cans on a single pair of pants!!

So I am writing this for the comedic value, the pants are still drying so I have no idea the result. The break of dawn was the only time I had to spray my new White Tommy Hilfiger pants and I was outside working in very low light. As a result I could not see how much product was being applied. I sprayed a whole can and for some ridiculous reason I figured a second can was needed. Do I emptied the whole second can into those Tommy's as well. I let them sit outside for about 6 hours to dry.. When I went outside to bring them in, the cold had been absorbed by all the Scotchguard and then I realized my mistake, because they were soaking wet. I brought them inside and they immediately stunk up the whole house, so they went back outside. I hung them up near a porch light and even the bugs wont come near the light. So here I am 24 hours later and they are no longer soaking wet, but they stink god awful. Surprisingly the texture and feel of the fabric has not changed. They are still obviously not completely dry based on the smell, could take another 24-48 hours to fully cure.My Tommy Hilfiger pants are now going to sink slower than the Titanic! I could be outside in a category 5 hurricane and my nuts will still be bone dry! There could be a tidal wave and an epic flood, everyone around me will be drowning, but I am going to just float by like a leaf on top of the water while looking like a Boss is my spotless white Tommy Hilfiger's... There is so much Scotchguard in my Tommy's, that after humanity is extinct and the world is covered in ice, Aliens are going to dig them up and study them as the last surviving remnant of human engineering. Then the intergalactic federation of planets are all going to be wearing reverse engineered Scotchguarded Tommy Hilfiger knockoffs for space uniforms... That is how much Scotchguard is now in my Tommy's!Word of advice, definitely do it outside and plan to let them sit outside for at least 24 hours, the fumes are strong. Also, I think the advertisement is a bit misleading, one 10oz can is about enough to do a full jacket OR a pair of pants. One can will do both a pair of shorts and T-shirt together. To get full protection I think this is the minimum, however don't do what I did, it is way overkill, unless you are planning on spraying it on your space suit to explore the Methane atmosphere of Venus on foot.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good Water Repellant Option

I am happy with this spray. It has decent water repellency for everyday clothing. We used it on our boots as well as other products that we did not use Nikwax on. During our trip to Costa Rica during the monsoon season, the spray held up to being battered with rain daily. We also used it on our patio furniture. While I wouldn't use this for furniture that is not under a covered porch, it does well for protecting the fabric when you need to spray it off due to dirt and grime that gets blown onto them periodically. What I didn't like:The spray is not propulsion is very week so you need to get close the what you're spraying which interferes with applying an even coat. This also means that you need zero wind to apply the spray. We live on the coast where the wind blows constantly. These cans also do not go a long way, so if you have a lot of garments to spray, you are going to need quite a few cans. This brings me to next point which is cost. While nowhere near as expensive as Nikwax, I think there are better options out there.
