This weird wonderful monster has a big personality and a primitive style. It is enhanced with vivid colors from 5 types of glaze if 3 coats each. I make these creatures from white stoneware clay and kiln fire them twice. They're all handmade and hollow inside.

The first firing to bisque: cone 04 which is 1945°F (1060°C).Then I clean and glaze which takes several  hours and they're fired again to cone 04 which is 1945°F (1060°C). The body color is one glaze with bits of frit in different colors that give it the yellows and blues on the white background. The sculpture stands about 5 1/4" tall and measure approximately 2 1/4" inches in length and 4" inches in width and weighs approximately 13 oz. It was produced using hand built techniques and has an impressed bottom stamp, signature. I've added felt to the bottom of the feet to keep it from scratching delicate surfaces.

This sculpture is an original, one-of-a-kind piece, signed by the artist: Michalski, Hedgehog Lounge with my "flower with an "a" leaf" that I've used for over 20 years. This piece has a primitive, bohemian look. It will add a touch of folk, party, pop of color style to any home décor. The sculpture ships in a double box to keep it safe. What a great gift for anyone who loves whimsical things!
