An original piece from the 1850-1899 timeframe, it is a testament to the enduring elegance of miniature art. The portrait is housed in a glazed frame there is some reflections on the on the glass, this looks like marks and shadows …..  there are none this is merely an illusion created by shadows etc.

There is some slight discolouration to the mount, the frame is showing signs of wear and the joints although fairly firm have slightly opened over time, see photographs.
