Vintage East African Dry Banana Leaf Artwork with Burlap Frame
16" x 11"

 This Beautiful Vintage piece of East African cultural heritage was Made with Dry Banana Leaves and Burlap.
Written on the back "Africa on Burlap" and depicts Life in a Village
The image is framed in a natural burlap mat that beautifully complements the rustic look of the banana leaf artwork.
We found this on the back of another art piece that my Mom had. I know it is at least 35 years old because I remember my Mom buying the front artwork and frame from an auction we attended approximately that long ago.The front art work wasn't worth anything but I wanted the frame and we we found this inside on the back. It does have some cracked or broken pieces on the edge (please see the pictures) but it is in beautiful condition otherwise. I wasn't sure how to clean or fix it, so I left it in as is condition.
