Hi this auction is for a stunning medium sized Midas pattern storage jar/Cannister made by Hornsea.

Fab deep brown matte finish with a geometric pattern around the base in a gold metallic finish. Is unlabelled on both sides.

This is a medium size jar measuring approx:

Height 12cm

Width at base 13cm

This is the plain design so could be used for any storage or just display.

The jar is in excellent clean condition with no major chips or cracks, but does have some age related wear to the glaze in places, a few small scuffs, a little wear on the base.

The wooden push on lid has some wear, I think would benefit from an oil or varnish. The seal is present but has some light wear/signs of age.

Approx 1960’s/1970's pattern and made by Hornsea, this jar is helpfully labelled with pattern ‘Midas’ on the base

Is very collectable and would be a great addition to a vintage style home for use or display. I think this pattern is fairly rare and different to the patterns you normally see.
