“As the club hits the golf ball the back of the ball is compressed resulting in energy forcing the ball to go forward. Most of the energy goes forward but also up, down and sideways. The downward energy tends to hold the ball on to the standard cup type tee. The Fire Away Tee is placed in the ground with the stem tilted forward so the ball is level with the ground. The downward energy actually forces the tee head forward helping to release the ball from the four points of the tee head resulting in less resistance to the ball leaving the tee.
