Albert Broom used to run Mid-America Travel Agency in Champaign, IL. I got to know Albert in the early 80's. He was part of a club that saved an Illinois Terminal car of some sort. They actually did some fan trips with it. Then it was stored. Then it was scrapped. Albert hung on to this brass throttle lever. When Albert died, his train stuff remained in his office. Eventually the travel agency closed and the gal that owned it at the time asked me if I wanted his stuff. I did, so she had the stuff appraised and I wrote a check for the appraised amount.
I've had this around my place since then. But I've accumulated too much stuff, and I'm starting to purge a bit.
I hope this throttle handle will find someone who will cherish it for many years, as I have.
This is sold as-is, no refunds.
Please do not use it to steal an unattended interurban.
