Most reviewers don't say what they used this on, so here you go: I used it on an HP Aruba 2530-48G PoE+ Switch (J9772A) that I bought used without any of the accoutrements. Incidentally, I've handled more than my fair share of HP switches (ProCurve and Aruba) and I'm pretty confident that these were designed for those kinds of switches.The holes matched up perfect, the screws to attach the brackets to the unit were perfectly sized (P2 Philips head) and went in smooth. But the screws for mounting to my rack were too fat for my setup. This was not a problem for me because I have a surplus of screws designed for my rack, which has static holes, NOT squares (the included rack mounting screws were for square rack rails and they include the appropriate square nuts that give us all injury-anxiety you set out to remove them). To be sure, if I had a square rack rail-hole system, they would've worked great.Some commenters lamented that the ears are too wide. In my case, they protruded about 1/16th of an inch wider on each side than the TRENDnet patch bay units flanking above and below. This also wasn't a problem for me, but beware if you have tight tolerances in your setup.Overall, I think these are perfect for anyone who needs to mount an HP Aruba switch and doesn't have the original gear.

Getting these attached to the 1u gear that I want to mount is a difficult task. Once attached, the ears are too big and don't fit in the rack. Maybe these are universal in a different universe from mine.

Like the title, does not work for Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro router. I even used some other methods to enlarge the holes (outside of hand filing) and could not make the holes match up.No where on this item listing states it works for it, but I would do EVERYONE a favor. Does not work. The short screws DO work.

Brackets are great, really nicely made etc. Screws are WAY too short. I?ll have to make a run to the hardware store for longer screws so that?s frustrating. Satisfied otherwise

I have three different 19 inch racks and the holes did not line up for any of them. Also, the holes were a real stretch on four different pieces of equipment.So, I would recommend you get the units designed for your rack and equipment if you can. Saves a lot of frustration.

I ordered two of these, and the screws for both were about a quarter inch too short. Not a huge problem. I went down to a hardware store and bought a set of screws that were a quarter inch longer. I highly recommend.
