KAKURI is a general hardware and hand tool distributor since 1946 in Tsubame-Sanjo.
Tsubame-Sanjo area is the manufacturing center of cutlery and hand tools in Japan.
Actually, 90% of cutlery in Japan is made in Tsubame-Sanjo, and there are over 4,000 factories in rather small 180,000 population area.
In Japan, hardwares from Tsubame-Sanjo means quality and durability, which can be used from generation to generation.
KIRIDASHI is one of the traditional yet very practical Japanese knife, which has been used mostly for wood carving or grafting for a long time.
It has an unique one edged straight angled blade for more sharpness.
Because of the short length of blade, sharpening can be done easily and quickly, and you can sharpen indefinitely until blade becomes short.
This type of Kiridashi with handle and sheath used to be in every home in Japan for a long time but replaced by OLFAs now.
