Injection-moulded from ABS plastic — the same family of materials used in LEGO bricks. ABS does not warp, holds its shape over time, and bonds reliably with superglue (cyanoacrylate) and two-part epoxy. The textured top surface grips PVA, texture paste, and basing sand without needing to score or rough up the surface first. Takes all spray and brush-on primers cleanly.

Every mould in the OBS range is designed in-house using industry-standard CAD — these are not generic imports. We control the full production chain from design through to quality control. Mould lines are clean and consistent.

The parallel slot runs straight across the base from edge to edge, giving 24mm of usable slot length. If your models have wider tabs that don't fit a 24mm slot, the diagonal slotted version of this base gives 28mm by running corner to corner. 2.4mm of underside clearance fits 3x2mm disc magnets for magnetic tray use.

30mm square is used for larger infantry, heavy troops, and characters in mass-battle wargaming. The slotted version is designed for models with integrated tabs. The parallel slot aligns with the base edges, making it easy to position the model facing forward in formation.

The 30mm outer width matches nominal sizing exactly. These bases rank up edge-to-edge and fit standard 30mm square movement trays. OBS square-to-round converters are available if you need to switch between game systems.

Slide the model's tab through the slot, apply superglue from underneath, and trim any excess tab flush. The straight slot aligns with the base edge — orient the slot front-to-back so your model faces forward in formation.

Fill it with green stuff, milliput, or a strip of plasticard cut to width. The straight slot is easy to fill — a strip of plasticard sits flush with minimal cleanup.

Keep texture materials away from edges so bases rank up flush. Batch-prime on a strip of tape for efficiency. A uniform rim colour gives your ranked block a clean, cohesive appearance.

2.4mm underside clearance fits 3x2mm disc magnets. Magnetising a regiment makes movement trays effortless. CA gel, check polarity consistently across the unit.
