Vintage, 1960's 12 piece Turkish coffee set.

Heat proof cut glass cups with silver plated holders, saucers and spoons.

The coffee set was made by the Lebanese silversmith firm Habis, based in Beirut, which was the first silversmith to be founded in Lebanon, after the country’s independence in 1943. 

The firm was established at the request of the country’s first president, Bechara El Khoury. Initially, Habis produced sterling silver only, but by the 1960s the firm had diversified into producing goods in silver-plate.

The underside of the saucers is stamped "HABIS".
