Lovely Vintage Lithos of 15th and 16th Century Maps (see below details)
- Colorful, Decorative Fine Prints - Great for Framing
- Penn Prints, N.Y.
Upper Left is New Belgium, New England, and Virginia by N.J. Fischer. Pre-dates the founding of Philadelphia in 1682.
Bottom Left is Canada by French cartographer Guillame de Lisle, Circa 1720.
Upper Right is The Holy Land (Palestinae) by Abraham Ortelius, Circa 1570.
Bottom Right is Asia by the map-making firm, the Blaeu Family, Circa 1662.
- Maps have yellowed with age but this only adds to their charm with old-fashioned symbols, colorful cartouches and quaint spellings of faraway places long forgotten.
- Slight creases in some areas, which would be hidden by framing and/or may be pressed. Little discoloration.
** Note: This was part of a 6-piece set of maps of which only these four (4) are remaining. I believe them to be from the late 50s or early 60s. **
- Overall Each Map Measures: 20" Wide x 16" Tall
- Inner Images Measure: 19.25" Wide x 15" Tall
