Pump works at rated voltage: When there exists no/ in-sufficient in-flow (or significant air bubble contained), it is DRY RUN scenario and protection will be triggered: Pump will access stop-run-stop-run---cycle, greatly reducing rotation. When flow comes sufficiently again, pump will re-access normal run. It greatly reduces physical friction between parts and heat generated, yet, not completely eliminate the impact.

Important Notes about Pump’s use & installation
DC 24V power supply. No direct AC power powering or over-voltage powering.
If it is AC/DC Power adapter, make sure that it can offer sufficient power to pump: output capacity be 24VDC, 2A or over (24V*2A ~ 48W). Note that Power supply cannot be placed in water or moisty location.
Pump supports continuous long time work with relatively low noise at normal working environment. Land use or submersible installation can be either OK, yet pump cannot be self-priming. Make sure that fluid can actively flow passing through inlet/outlet because pump works via centrifugal force of high-speed rotation of impeller inside (to push/throw in-flow out). No long-time dry work without in-flow, or it may damage the pump (Even though DRY-RUN Protection is equiped.).
Do NOT throw the pump or install it violently, as it could damage the pump body. Do NOT throw the pump directly through the cable, to avoid damage of cable. When at installation, please do not violently to break the pump’s bracket base part, impacting the external appearance and convenience of installation.
FIX the pump somewhere when at work, avoiding its own moving-around due to reaction force when at work, which will result in factual pump's DRY-RUN even under water. Also, if it is a circulation system and water will drop back to the tank, avoid the pump installation directly below the water dripping down, to avoid a lot of air bubbles that flow into.
When at installation, especially for long term work, do not place the pump upside down (outlet downwards, or inlet downwards). Do place the pump normally upwards, or at least sideways.
Impurities shall be avoided, to avoid blockade of impeller due to impurity accumulcation. When for sea/salt water pumping, avoid crystallization.
About power polarity: It is DC head connector in default: DC5.5*2.1 (compatible with DC5.5*2.5), INNER PIN + OUTER -. if naked wire connector, RED/BORWN wire is Positive, BLACK/BLUE wire is Negative. DC 24V.
To avoid possible misunderstanding of relevant parameters, here we also say something about flow rate value & max static lift value of pump products:
For static lift value, it means the max vertical height of flow column when outlet is connected with external matching hose/tube, working at rated voltage. For max flow rate value, it means the max flow rate of pump at horizontal level, working at rated voltage. The higher the height, the lower the flow; when height reaches lift value, flow rate becomes zero. Note that lift value and spraying/shooting height of pump are completely different. So dear users, please do not be confused by them. Meanwhile, certain deviation of around +-10%~15% is advised to be left when in relevant applications, to leave enough margin.
