NOTE: This hotel first opened in 1850; the
Elmwood Hotel in Waterville was once considered one of the best in the state.
Located near the Maine Central Railroad station and Waterville's Main Street,
the hotel boasted of fine bedrooms and suites, a superb dining room, and accessibility to the best attractions.
The building was demolished during Waterville's Urban Renewal project in the 1960s.
