Iconic well-constructed high quality large vintage 1960s leather mail carrier bag made by Bucheimer for the United States Postal Service. Bag features a large front flap which opens to reveal a front side pouch and a large roomy compartment. Details include solid brass riveted side reinforcements and additional rivets on the back. These large leather carrier bags have been discontinued for some time and are no longer standard issue for the U.S. Postal Service. The stitching is all solid; the bag is in terrific condition for its age with no holes. It does show physical wear along with some water staining (see the photos). Seller Lot #24039u.
