Sony Handycam DVD Digital Video Camera Recorder DCR-DVD101

So this unit was working, when I turned it on to take demo pictures for ebay the lens for some reasons does not transmit properly. it gets a signal from the lens but it shows up as pictured in two of the posted shots. all other functions work, can read and write to a DVD-RW disk which will be included for testing. Does NOT come with pictured battery.
