The perfect construction companion

Where has this tool been all my life? I can't believe how handy the workshop calculator is. I originally got it for adding fractional measurements, which it does perfectly. But the ability to use it to find the diagonal of a 4 sided box so it is perfectly square is top notch. It also calculates volumes which I use for concrete or bark mulch. I am still learning all of the handy things this will do. I the model above it also calculates rafter lengths, which would be great if I was young enough to be framing roofs any longer. I highly recommend this for every tool box and work shop.
Neat calculator for contractors

The Heavycalc Pro is a really useful little device if you do a lot of building. At first glance it just appears to be a calculator, and it does a great job of that. But where it shines is in the built in functions specifically for use in the construction industry. No longer do you have to remember formulas for area, volume, weights and other construction tasks. One function that really stood out for me was the ability to determine shrink for soil. Need to fill in a hole but want to make sure you have enough dirt to do the job so that things will be level after settling? This little device will do the job and have you breathing a sigh of relief.

What can I say? This is an excellent calculator for those who need its particular functions. I've been in the concrete trade for decades and when it comes to footers, pads, warehouse floors, parking lots and road construction this tool can't be beat. It has just about every feature one would want for use in the heavy construction trades. It makes it so much easier when it comes to ordering loads of stone and calculating the swell and shrink factors.

This is a really great calculator the features on it are excellent. I have another calculator from Calculated Industries and I like it so much that I decided to go ahead and pick this one up also. The features on it are great and the amount of things it will do is awesome. I am terrible at math but these calculators make it easy for even me and I'm sure I am only scratching the surface of what it's capable of. The added bonus of the Armadillo Gear case that is comes with is great, it is such a durable case and protects the calculator very well, I have subjected mine to drops from 10 feet high and being thrown on the ground multiple times and have never had it get hurt. Lastly there is a spot on the back of the calculator where the instruction manual slips into so that you have it with you always which is great. I definitely recommend this calculator!

The great features the HeavyCalc Pro Calculator are too numerous to mention all in this review but here are a few: does dimensional math and conversions in yards, feet, inches and fractions, completes angle solutions for roof and rafter calculations, finds area and volume solutions for length width and height.

The heavycalc pro calculator is a durable design made for use in the field. It can calculate areas, volumes, loads, square-ups, right angles and cut/fills. Work in U.S. or metric. It has a backspace key and a paperless tape to review the last 20 entries for when you need to see what you had just done. It includes the Armadillo Gear case that has a closing top that flips over out of the way and protects it when closed.
