Pablo Picasso (1881-1973)
SUMMARY: This striking Picasso lithograph is after his Original Portrait of Jacqueline in 1956, in which he expresses what a woman means to him - beauty, serenity, and passion. The work was used as an affiche to promote the exhibition of his book illustrations covering half a century. Dated by Picasso ‘in the plate’, there are corroborative details verso the support in lead, and it is a very hard to find example in superb condition for its years.
(* measurements accurate within 0-5mms.)
