Steel shot is the ideal material for metal resurfacing, cleaning, and stripping. S-280 Shot is a medium size, approximately .028", used for surface blast cleaning of small sized castings, forgings and heat-treated pieces, aluminum and copper alloy castings, steel plates, steel pipes, sections and steel structures, as well as shot peening of work pieces. Choose the size which creates the desired result. S-230, S-280, and S-330 size shot produce a medium finish with good coverage. S-390 and S-550 are coarser for heavy iron and steel.
