This item is an unused application for membership in the Women’s International Bowling Congress (WIBC). On the front of the card, there is an area to put your personal information and towards one side, it has a perforation with a temporary membership card / receipt. On the back is an area for notes and a reminder that each bowler has to make out their own application. On the back side of the temporary part, it has a statement “to be replaced by membership card for new season” along with “not valid unless signed by league secretary.
The application card is made from thick stock and it measures approx. 3” x 6.5”. It is in excellent condition – no marks or creases. The form number is in the lower left-hand corner and what I believe is a date of 7/68.
My mom was an avid bowler and she started the sport in the early 1970’s and bowled up until near her passing. She may have gotten the application in the early 70’s but the form was last updated in the late 60’s.
Comes from smoke-free home.

Over the past couple of years, I have been tasked with going through my parent's and grandparent's possessions - two separate households with items spanning their whole lives. This has been a long, arduous process and will take many years to complete.
I will be listing a variety of items - some of which I know the story behind and others I simply haven’t a clue! With each and every item, I try to supply as much detail as I can whether it is from my recollection / memories, internet research, or by matching it up with other pieces I have found. Each item tells a story for which I am grateful to now be able to document as a way of keeping some of the history of my family which is now gone. I wish I could keep a lot of it but I haven't the room.
I will do my absolute best to describe the item as I can. If I overlook a defect or if for some reason you feel that the item is not as described, please let me know. I will do my best to make things right! Thank you in advance for helping me with this overwhelming task.
