Drummers can judge whether a Sloan is a good fit for them based on the feeling they get from the moment they sit on it. The hardness of the seat surface depends on a combination of many factors, including the seat shape, material, elasticity of the surface fabric, and sewing method.
After carefully considering these factors, the 1st Chair Glide Rider drum throne was created with the goal of stably supporting the body's center of gravity and reducing the accumulation of fatigue when sitting for long periods of time. The top surface of the seat is made of a cloth material that prevents slipping during play, creating an ideal balance between softness and hardness that has not been found in previous TAMA models. This is a saddle-shaped drum throne.

●1st Chair Height Adjustment
The 1st Chair is a drum throne that has both a pipe-type mechanism that allows you to roughly and quickly adjust the height, and a screw-type mechanism that allows you to finely adjust the height.
■Adjustment method
1. Loosen the T-nut (A), slide the screw rod to the desired height in the same way as adjusting the length of the pipe, and lightly tighten (A).
2. While in this state, rotate the height lock (B) and lower it to the nylon bushing position on the base.
3. If fine adjustment is required, loosen the T-nut (A) and then rotate the height lock (B). Adjustments can also be made by rotating the seat instead of rotating the height lock. Turning the seat to the right (clockwise) will lower it, and rotating it to the left (counterclockwise) will raise it.
4. Finally, securely tighten the T-nut (A).
[Caution] Before sitting on the seat, be sure to check that the height lock is lowered to the nylon bushing position. If you loosen the T-nut (A) or sit on the seat while the height lock is still up, the seat will suddenly drop, which is very dangerous.
●ROCKLOK
The original mechanism ROCKLOK has a nylon bush attached to the lower end of the screw rod that prevents the rod from rattling inside the lower pipe. This eliminates the unpleasant shaking of the seat while playing, and the Sloan itself has sufficient reliability.
●Foot Life
Unlike standard legs, where the tips of the leg plates are fixed with rivets and then covered with leg rubber, the design is such that the leg plates are fixed to a resin block and the leg rubber is attached to that block. The durability of the leg rubber is dramatically improved.
●Seat Link
The screw rod is fixed on the surface by the nylon bush installed inside the seat holder. It has a high level of stability that is resistant to lateral shake during play. The base part can be attached to a pipe/rod with a diameter of 22.2mm.
