This Vetus 'Quick Positioning Series' seat pedestal is specifically suitable for applications where the seat is required to be removed or where multiple seating positions are used, for example in fishing boats.
The system comprises two components:
- a low-profile base, which is mounted on the deck
- a gas-adjustable pedestal with an integral swivel for seat mounting
The low-profile base is mounted onto the deck - this requires a hole to be drilled into the deck to accommodate the pedestal connection. This has a threaded socket so the pedestal can be fairly secured
The pedestal has a threaded base which ensures a sturdy installation, but the can be quickly undone to remove the seat. The pedestal is gas adjustable to heights between 57cm and 74cm. It has an integral swivel with a standard fixing point so a seat can be mounted on top. The mounting plate is angled 3º forwards.
The kit can be supplied with one or two bases, which enables the seat to be moved position, eg from the steering position to the cockpit so it can be used for fishing.
