One Of A Kind High Quality French Art Nouveau Victorian 18K Gold Platinum Emerald Diamonds Fleur De Lys / Lis Stick Pin ⚜️ Fully hallmarked, eagles head indicating it is composed of 18K solid gold of French origin, and a partial goldsmith hallmark of which I can only decipher the first letter E, and it also has an engraved serial number 4692, though some of the edges are incomplete. Such jewels were created as one of a kind treasures, so this stick pin was considered an important enough jewel to have an average copy made of it which I have seen floating somewhere in the market, and putting all this information together conclusively leads one to understand that it was created by a prestigious French jeweller such as those employed by Cartier or Mauboussin. Weighs approximately 2.5 grams. Approximately 7.57 cm (2 15/16 inches) in total length, with the Fleur De Lys/Lis being motif being approximately 1.37 cm (8.5/16 of an inch) in height, and approximately 1.03 cm (6.2/16 of an inch) in width. 13 tiny European cut diamonds set in a platinum frame that is superimposed over 18K yellow gold, very typical of French jewellery circa 1900, and a beautiful oval cabochon Columbian emerald secured by 18K yellow gold hinges to top it all ! Emeralds symbolise health life and fertility, while diamonds representing the heavenly stars symbolise eternity, so all together wishing the wearer eternal wisdom, health life and fertility, an extraordinary gift ! Our beloved Jehanne D'Arc or Joanne D'Arc as most of you know her by used the Fleur De Lys as her banner, since the Fleur De Lys / Lis symbolize the Trinity as well as wisdom, though the symbol goes back to ancient times even predating Christianity, used in ancient Persia as well as Egypt, because guess what God always existed !
