Lot of sixty b/w photographs of New England whaling industry ships, schooners, barks, Tugs, Buildings, docks, and seas. Most of the photographs are 4” x 5” and many are mounted on black scrapbook paper. Most are back to back on the pages. Many of the images are identified either in red ink on the image or in pencil under the image. Not all are identified. Here are some names I do see: Andrew Hicks (2), Charles G Rice (2), Bertha, William A Gomes, Vineyard, Nantucket, Ruth Merrill, Tug- S C Hart, Singleton Palmer, J Lawrence, The Sherman, Hens & Chickens, & Dorothy Barrett. Not all ships or locations are identified. Some images have red ink on the image, but all images are clean. Sold as a lot only.
