Kadee Magne-Matic® couplers feature a patented knuckle design that is never locked closed - allowing coupling at any time while the knuckle flexes through curves and stays securely joined. Whisker® couplers add a built-in stainless steel spring for automatic self-centering after curves, eliminating the need for a separate centering spring. Uncoupling requires two conditions simultaneously: position over an uncoupler AND slack between cars - preventing accidental uncoupling while running. Kadee is the ONLY company to have a coupler accepted as an NMRA standard and holds multiple patents including Delayed Magnetic Uncoupling® and the Whisker® centering mechanism.
