1st - 3rd Century AD Roman Bronze Eros Phalera / Roundel

This is a Roman bronze phalera or roundel depicting Eros holding & straddling a diaphenous cloth, circa 1st - 3rd Century AD. Ex private collection Devon & previously believed to have come from the G. A. Michaelides (1900-1973) collection. Marked 'Michaelides' to the reverse.

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
