Up for sale is a stunning hand carved Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus carved from a cypress knee.  Please check out all the pics for details.  It looks like the artist charred and then polished the sculpture to a glossy finish.  There is a fissure on the back side which just adds interest to the piece.  Measurements are approximate; 12" Tall x 7.5" at Widest Point x 4.75" Deep.  The sculpture weighs 3 lbs 2 oz.  This sculpture will look fantastic on display in your home.  May be locally done since cypress trees are so abundant in South Louisiana where I live.
