Antique Victorian 18k Yellow Gold Persian Blue Turquoise Mourning Pin Brooch

Details & Condition: This stunning late Victorian era mourning brooch is crafted out of 18 carat gold and has elegant Persian blue Turquoise stones in a floral display of the "Forget Me Not" blooms both in the center of the brooch and on the detachable drop.
There is a rich warm patina from many years of storage that is impossible to replicate - we have left it as - it is just that beautiful.
On the rear there is a small circular window which is 8.40mm in diameter which houses a perfectly braided piece of hair - no moisture has seeped in :)
The repousse swag detailing is fantastic and has held up well over the years - in fact we can only see one tiny spot (top of the detachable pendant) that the "ball" got damaged over the past 100 plus years - it is only a few mm in size it is and can easily be smoothed over by your jewelry.]

Metal Purity - Although I have put 18k gold in the title - the majority of the piece is actually higher! (no precision purity back then) 19k and even 20 k in places- We xrayed it all over!
Notable points: This piece has had a replacement roll over clasp and the arm shortened to fit
Stones: Persian Blue Turquoise - please not Persian Turquoise has color variations!
