This listing is for ramped edges. These come in two types - male & female - buy as many as you need and only pay one delivery charge.
Single side installation
If the space you are covering requires ramped edges on just one side, then it makes no difference whether you buy male or female - as long as when you lay your first main tile you position it facing the right way - ie face the tiles so that they will connect to the edge you have purchased.
Multiple side installation
If the area you are covering requires ramped edges on two sides, you will need to purchase both female and male edges. Just remember when you start laying your tiles to position the first tiles the correct way so that it will connect with both edges.
How to calculate the quantity of edges you need?
You need to make sure the edges overlap a tile by half - like a brick effect. So if you opening is say 1800mm you would do this calculation:
1800+470 = 2270.
2270 divide by 470 = 4.83. So you would round up to 5 edge tiles.
Corners
If you are installing tiles say in the corner of a showroom for example and you want ramped edges on two sides, to make a nice corner you cut one of each edge in half at 45 degrees and then fit. Our tiles have the cut line underneath to guide you where to cut..
