ABSOLUTELY INNOVATIVE AND SUPERB SOLUTION OF A LIMESCALE REMOVAL
ECOLOGICAL ELIMINATION OF SCALE
ARAGO home is an ion exchange water filtration device that eliminates limescale deposits in water pipes, heating elements, boilers, faucets, washing machines, dishwashers and other household appliances, while preventing corrosion. It helps extend the lifespan of the installed devices.
The release of zinc ions permanently changes the structure of carbonate minerals contained in water, preventing their deposition. The altered minerals are gradually leached from the water system. Thanks to this treatment method, the water retains not only important minerals, but also its original sensory properties.
ARAGO is a maintenance-free, modern ecological water-filtering solution – it does not require a power source or chemicals to operate, it reduces the operation and maintenance costs of heat exchangers, boilers and water storage tanks.
It will provide reliable protection against limescale for 6-8 years (depending on the quality of the water, its composition and flow rate).
ARAGO is made of the highest-quality hygienic materials and is intended for contact with potable water. The product meets the requirements of Decree No. 409/2005 Sb. on hygienic requirements for products coming into direct contact with potable water.
ARAGO home system – principle of operation
Hard water is mainly due to the content of dissolved calcium bicarbonate (CaHCO3). By changing the temperature (heating), the bicarbonate is converted to insoluble carbonate (CaCO3).
Carbonate precipitation and subsequent deposition on the surface of heat exchangers, coils or pipes results in the formation of hard limescale. Hard limescale is actually one of the modifiable forms of calcium carbonate – i.e. calcite.
ARAGO operates on the basis of a natural electrochemical principle, which consists in the release of zinc ions. The presence of zinc ions in the water prevents carbonate granulation in the form of hard calcite, and prompts its granulation in the form of non-sticky and easily washable aragonite.
Although calcite and aragonite are two chemically identical substances (calcium carbonate), they differ in structure and physical properties. And if even a small amount of aragonite is deposited on the surface (in devices where there is no water flow, e.g. a kettle), it can be easily wiped off.
ARAGO is active immediately after it is installed in the system.
Installation of ARAGO home
Install the device in water distribution systems with working pressure, flow and temperature not exceeding the technical parameters of the product (see technical parameters’ table).
The ARAGO device is mounted at the water inlet to the building in a vertical or horizontal position, regardless of the flow direction.
We recommend installing an FDW mechanical debris filter in front of the ARAGO home device to protect the devices from the abrasive effects of solid particles, sand and deposits that are commonly found in water mains. When used in public water systems, simply place a gasket with a filter screen on the inlet. Without installing a mechanical filter, the lifespan and performance of the equipment may be reduced, or the equipment may become clogged or even damaged.
It is recommended to install a shut-off valve and a bypass valve upstream and downstream of the unit for service purposes. For sealing, use approved sealing products suitable for contact with potable water
Service life
The service life of the ARAGO device is from 6 to 8 years, depending on the chemical composition and flow rate of the source water.
The lack of operation of the devices will result in further hard limescale build-up.
If your installation includes a mechanical debris filter, we recommend servicing the filter screen regularly to remove trapped debris.
