This is a handcoloured postcard of Watbi, Neu Mecklenburg (= New Ireland), Bismarck Archipel (= Archipelago), German (now: Papua) New Guinea. It shows a beautiful view of a large group of Papuas. This postcard was sent to the USA in 1909. So it is more than one HUNDRED and 10 years OLD. The red and white 10 Pfennig DEUTSCH NEU-GUINEA stamp is still attached on its back. Cancel: SIMPSONHAFEN DEUTSCH NEU-GUINEA. However a little, slight stain on bottom right corner it does not affect the pictures (see scan) and it is still a great collectable. Condition: very good.
