The wood is a dark brown with a hint of red.  The chest is 6" tall, a touch under 15" wide and a touch under 11 1/2 inches deep.

I offer a variety of shipping options.  Please select the one that best meets your needs based upon your location and how quickly you wish to receive your items.  This item is heavy--please check out the Fed Ex option if you are concerned about the shipping costs--to most areas it will likely be the cheapest and is about the same speed as Priority Mail and includes insurance up to $100.  I will combine shipping on multiple items so check out my other listings and see if anything else interests you.  If you would like me to combine shipping, please contact me prior to payment so that I may send you an updated invoice based upon the weight/size of your package.  I do not charge any handling/packaging fees.
