Description:
Strategic Preview was a rather strange newsletter first released in mid 1976 (date estimated from the content), and lasting but four issues.  Contrary to what you might think from the title, the first issue of this newsletter was published roughly between Strategic Review #7 and Dragon #1, in approximately May 1976.

The first issue was numbered #3 (why, we don't know, but we assume it was for humorous purposes), and the last, #6.  Each issue is a single 11" x 17" sheet, folded in half to make four facing pages.  According to Frank Mentzer, each issue ran 25-50 copies.  As evidenced by the introductory paragraph in issue #3, it was intended to give a behind-the-scenes look at news and new releases from TSR, and supposedly mailed out with all subscription copies of The Dragon and Little Wars magazines... but this fact doesn't jive with the production numbers stated by Mentzer above, nor does it jive with the number of issues still in existence today (just a handful).

Inside contents include ...
- Annoucing TSR's Latest Publication
- Eldritch Wizardry is Now Available
- Strategist's Club News
- David McGarry Comic Strip
- Comic Pictures & Description of People that "Make Up TSR"
     - (Gary Gygax, Brian Blume, Mike Carr, Tim Kask, David McGarry, Dave Arneson, Terry Kuntz)
- TSR Rumblings
- TSR Hobbies Available Items

This came from a very large, and Ultra Rare D&D Collection.
This collectors had the likes of 4th printing D&D White Box with all the additions, Wee Warrior items (all Unused), Dragon #1, entire run of Strategic Review, and much much more! He purchased a multitude of items from TSR during May 1976, so we can assume they included this just as a rare bonus - what a lucky individual!

CONDITION:

The Front of the Newsletter presents in Very good condition! Just a small crease at the bottom.
When opened - the
Middle pages also present very well. A small yellow hue is at the bottom of the two pages, with what appears to be one light yellow stain at the bottom.
The
Back page presents well, but yellow stain at bottom is noticeable and darker. One of the folding lines can be seen, with some wear on the egdes.
Just some tiny hints of yellow at one side of the edge.

Overall for rarity it is in solid condition, but still has some vintage wear, and folding lines - because it was actually mailed out.
Yellowing looks worse in pictures than it actually is.
