Valve Type: The SRS-15-110VAC is a Normally Closed, Steam Valve.  This is a two-way, unidirectional valves, this means it has two, 1/2" FNPT ports but can only flow from inlet to outlet as indicated by the arrow on the valves body. This Valve is a Semi-Direct (Servo-Assisted) and Piston Valve. It has two chambers, the Servo-Assisted Plunger Opens when the coil is energized allowing pressure to be relieved from above the Piston in the second chamber allowing the Piston to move upwards, opening the valve. Both the Piston and Plunger are fit with PTFE Seals. The valve is fast acting and changes position in under 1 second when power is applied or removed. Zero Differential Pressure is required.

Valve Materials: The valve body is Stainless Steel which has great temperature resistance. The Seals on both the plunger and piston are PTFE, commonly called Teflon. These are excellent for high temperatures as well allowing this valve to control media up to 356° F. All other wetted components are Stainless Steel

*Consult a chemical compatibility expert for correct seal and valve body material choice.

Important Coil Information: This valve uses the 210 series coil. This coil has a 43650A DIN Connection and a Class H enclosure rating.   This coil has a voltage range of +/-10% of the stated voltage. It is rated for continuous duty however like most solenoid valves the coil will become hot to the touch when left on continuously. The temperature will stabilize without failure. Leaving the valve powered on for long periods of time will reduce the life of the coil. This should be installed where airflow is present to reduce the ambient temperature around the coil and increase the lifespan. This valve should be mounted with the coil in the upright position. This valve is available in 12VDC, 24VDC, 24VAC, 110VAC and 220VAC, please see our eBay store for other voltages.

Preventative Maintenance: An Inline Check Valves are recommended downstream whenever backpressure or back flow is present in an application. These valves are uni-directional and do not prevent back flow.
