OVERVIEW

The Kumho KRS03 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the steer axle, but it can also be used on all axle positions of the vehicle.

The model guarantees great controllability. The wider footprint and the symmetric ribbed tread design increase the tire's contact with the road surface. The enlarged road contact patch improves the tire's contact with the road surface and it enables the tire to follow the road surface at all times. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The constant road contact ensures a secure performance and enables the driver to confidently maneuver the vehicle in various conditions.

The tire offers a lengthened tread life. The tread design features lateral multi-sipes on the straight ribs which improve the tread length. The ribs maintain the tire's contact with the road surface, while the siping detail manages to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out driving forces prevent irregular tread wear formations, which extends the tread life and the tire's usability. The tread's self-cleaning nature, with the stone ejectors in the grooves, avoid stone retention by eliminating rocks stuck between the tread elements. This prevents rocks from drilling into the tread and damaging the tire's casing. The longer lasting tread life and the stone retention resistance upgrade the length of the tire's service life and usability.

The KRS03 ensures excellent all weather traction. The all season tire compound and the symmetric ribbed pattern with the optimal siping detail increase the tire's grip on the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather. They upgrade the grip the tire has on the road by increasing the number of biting edges with the siping pattern. The compound keeps its flexibility throughout the year. The tread's circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint and improve the wet and winter traction. This allows the tire to enhance the year round driving safety.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
