For sale is a new, rare and gorgeous bronze and alabaster double sconce by Classic Lighting, a US company that imports its products and materials from Europe. It is part of Classic Lighting's Mallorca line.

We bought two of these double sconces in 2007; one we installed but unfortunately never had the ability to use the second one. The double sconce in this Mallorca collection is extremely rare and will be even rarer or impossible with the onset of tariffs.

The first photo is a stock photo from the company.  As you can see, the sconce has a brilliant antique bronze finish, and the real alabaster is thick and warm in color.

The other photos are of the one we have mounted in a bathroom on a mirror overlooking a pair of sinks.  The reflection of the two alabaster bowls in the mirror adds to the beauty of the fixture.

Only one double sconce is for sale, and remember, some photos are of a double sconce mounted on our own mirror - so it looks like 4 alabaster lamps.

As of April 2025, Bernard Electric Company sells this double sconce for $895.40.

A few words about alabaster:

Alabaster is a form of calcite that varies in color from honey to cream.  Valued for its sparkle as well as its translucence and is often used for lamps for this reason.  Widely used in bathroom accessories because it is highly waterproof in wet conditions.

Real alabaster has a glow different from all.  It is typically uniform in color and    transparency, while fake alabaster may have cloudy areas or streaks.

Real alabaster is heavy, twice the weight of fake alabaster, and is 3/8" thick minimum.

Veins are random, both dark and translucent.  If you see 2 different pieces with the same pattern of veins in the exact same location, they are not genuine.

Alabaster is soft, easy to work with and is also quite fragile.
