What is Included:

- (1) 8 Unit TME pack containing >300 grams of non-toxic milspec clay-based desiccant

Note:  These are mixed brands (e.g. BranoGel, Desipak, Wisesorb, others).  Each is generally enough for an 4cf (small-sized) safe for 1 year, depending on how much air the safe leaks, the safe's contents and % fill, the surrounding humidity, and target humidity (e.g. 10%).

Condition:

Good functional condition (e.g. no tears, holes).  Fair cosmetic condition (may contain writing, smudges, spots, minor stains, etc).

Each pack is used, but reusable (virtually forever).  Just pop it into your oven on about 250degF for 2-4 hours (duration depends most on room humidity), cracking the door open periodically, and the pack is ready for use.  You can reduce the time by first leaving a pack somewhere sunny and hot, such as a vehicle's dashboard or mailbox.  When a pack stop absorbing moisture, repeat the process.  To ensure top performance, please monitor your target environment with a digital hygrometer, which are as inexpensive as $6 without remote monitoring probes and $10 with.

Desiccants are proven drying agents based on a natural, environmentally friendly and inert desiccant clay offering a very high adsorptive binding capacity with regard to humidity.

Protects all moisture-sensitive and hygroscopic packaged goods such as:

• Machines
• Electronic or optical assemblies
• Pharmaceutical or chemical products
• Medical devices
• Leather goods
• Textiles, clothing and fashion
• Military hardware and materiel

...against decay, corrosion, fungal attacks, dew moisture, moisture absorption, condensation and potential electrolyte formation.  These problems are typically caused by:

• Packing with very high humidity
• Packing with wet and humid parts
• Packing warm parts
• Intrusion of surface water
• Intrusion of moisture due to damaged packaging
• Wrapping with high moisture content materials such as:
• Cardboard, paper
• Wood, wood-wool, chipboards
• Felt, cloth, etc.
• Missing or poor covering boxes
• Missing drying agents such as Desiccants (which are a necessity for export packaging)
• Extreme climatic conditions
• Long duration of storage and transport

Note:  Mil-D-3464E is the U.S. military specification for  desiccants. It includes requirements for the performance and packaging, as well as specific test procedures. A “Unit” refers to the Military Specification for the packaging of desiccants. The term unit is a quantity of desiccant, which will absorb a set percentage of its weight at certain levels of humidity, e.g.

• 3 grams of water at 20% RH, 25degC
• 6 grams of water at 40% RH, 25degC

A unit is also roughly equivalent to one ounce.

Shipping

- For rates, please see "Shipping and Payments" section, located at the top of the page, just below the auction bid price.  In addition to packaging material costs, please realize that a well-packaged product may have higher "dimensional weight" than actual weight.  We have provided our best estimate for this item.  We do not overcharge for shipping unlike so many others.  We also avoid "free shipping" as this simply means that you will pay tax on shipping costs when there is no need!
- We generally ship within 1 - 3 business days after payment clears.  If significantly delayed, expect us to keep you informed.  If your purchase is shipped via traceable carrier, we will send you the tracking number ASAP via email.
- We generally prefer to ship USPS (Postal Service) for items less than 2 lbs (1kg) and $50 in value.  We generally use traceable carriers (UPS or FedEx) for everything else.
- Winning bidder is welcome to arrange pickup and save all shipping expenses!!
- Couriered delivery is possible within 100miles of item location, but requires a non-refundable deposit.  The remaining balance is required at the time of pickup/delivery and must be made in person using only tender legal for all debts public and private (ie. federal reserve notes -- eBay no longer permits the use of more common names in listings).
- To avoid fraud, we only ship to P.O. Boxes after securing prepaid funds.
- Expedited shipping (3day, 2day, Overnight, Weekend Delivery, etc.) is available, as is International shipping via inexpensive Postal Service or FedEx.  Please inquire about our "Get it Fast!" options!
- When insurance is marked OPTIONAL and is NOT paid, your bid constitutes agreement to limit our liability to producing proof of package shipment.
