Choose the height of the adapter so that the larger 80mm fan can sit far enough away from the 70mm slot to get clearance. Usually there are walls of the case or what not close around the 70mm fan slot that would block the larger fan.

Comes with the 8 screws you'll need; really easy just screw your 80mm fan to the adapter and then the adapter to the case.

Fits standard 80mm fans and 70mm slots. Will almost certainly fit unless you have a really strange fan; if in doubt refer to the technical drawing and measure your fan & fan slot.

Unlike other adapters, this design completely fills in the frame around the 140mm fan so the case is still sealed to air afterwards and your fan works as efficiently as possible providing airflow.

You can also use this to mount both a 80mm fan AND a 70mm fan in a forced air setup into either a 80mm or 70mm fan slot. You will want at least 20mm height in that case since you'll want a big enough plenum between them.
