See Photos.  Comes from an immaculately clean nonsmoking home.  In very good condition.  No cracks or repairs.  Heavy, weighs approx 15.5 pounds.  Bear (presumed polar) attacking a seal fisherman.  Man has his knife out to try and defend himself.  It is a struggle to the death.  Peter Tullaugaq Saviadjuk was born in 1930.  Tag indicates (and research confirms) he was from the Sugluk / Salluit settlement which is located at the northern tip of Quebec about 300 miles south of the arctic circle.  Unclear when the carving was made.  He had an exposition in the 1950s at the Art Gallery of Windsor (Ontario), thus likely that it was done before 1953 (when the show opened).
