The Memphis Redbirds cruised to a 14-4 victory over the International League champion Durham Bulls in the winner-take-all Triple-A National Championship Game at Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio.

Memphis Redbirds won the franchise's first Triple-A national championship.

Randy Arozarena entered the championship game hitting .348 for Memphis in the postseason and worked as a two-man wrecking crew with first baseman Alex Mejia. The two batters combined for eight hits and five runs, and Mejia was named the game's MVP.
