RARE 1919 Boston Red Sox Pass from Babe Ruth's Final Season with The Red Sox.
1919 - The Famous Black Sox Scandal Year with Shoeless Joe Jackson & the boys, but it was also quite the year for the Bambino!
Some highlights:
July 29, 1919, Ruth ties Home Run record in an epic battle vs Ty Cobb and Detroit:

Another great story - hopefully Ebay doesn't remove the link below
- about a DH on September 20, 1919 at Fenway when Ruth hit his 27 HR of the year and ties Ned Williamson ML record of 1881, that day the Babe pitched five innings, struck out three batters. Ruth the starting pitcher for game 1, struck out HOFer Eddie Collins, and picked off both Swede Risberg & Shoeless Joe, then hits his 27th homer of the season off (Black Sox pitcher) Lefty Williams, and a WALKOFF at that, and how the crowd of 31,000 went crazy!
RUTH'S 1ST WALKOFF HOME RUN!!!!!

Ruth would hit 9 home runs at Fenway that year. 29 in total for the 1919 season.
As a pitcher that season the Babe went 9-5 with a 2.97 ERA, with 12 complete games.
On a June 10th matchup at Fenway against the White Sox Ruth on the mound faced Shoeless Joe 4 times, and Jackson went 1 for 4 off Ruth. Ruth also pitched to Ty Cobb on 2 occasions at Fenway that year. That had to be something to witness.
Those were just some of the events of that historic 1919 season in Boston. Just an AMAZING pass to one of the most incredible seasons of baseball in history, don't miss out!!! You won't see another one on Ebay, not from 1919 that is!

Tickets, stubs and passes are memorabilia from an actual event and are not like cards mass produced. In sports collecting, tickets are a fans direct connection to the game. Tickets are something tangible after the game is a memory. Tickets that list the date are usually more valuable than a program which can be for a series of games. Tickets are scarce and limited to seats sold. A ticket that has historical content and eye appeal is a valuable item. Tickets can be mounted or displayed with photographs, autographs and text. Many collectors get tickets signed for example Carl Yastrzemski 3,000 hit ticket. Collectors want tickets that represent a theme: a team, a record breaking game , a players first or last game, minor leagues, All-Star or post season tickets. Grading companies PSA are grading and certifying tickets which adds to their value and popularity. Rare historical tickets can run $100-and up. General tickets should be under $30.
