Vintage Circa 1897 14K gold filled Elgin Swiss lever fancy cased pocket watch in good working order. The dial is white enamel with black coloured numerals and blued steel hands with sub-dial and marked Elgin. The movement is a 15 jewelled with Swiss lever escapement with ruby jewelled end-stone clean with a good strong tick keeping good time and marked Elgin Natl Watch Co USA 15 Jewels Safety Pinion and the number 7415552 which dates it to 1897. The back cover is marked to the inside Keystone Watch Case and the number 2676376. The dust cover is marked to the inside Guaranteed J Boss 14K 20 Years and the number 2676376.

It is button wind and set. The dial and dial lens are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks with a little light scratching to the dial lens. The fancy case is clean and bright and has worn as to its age with all the covers closing nice and tight. It Measures 50mm excluding crown and comes supplied with a gold-coloured Albert chain as in the photos.
