This is a Vintage 1950's Louis MARX Windup Sheriff Sam and his Whoopee Car Jeep Litho Tin Toy & Box. The toy is Working. It goes forward, then goes backward and sometimes flips up onto the little back wheel and does a wheelie while gong in circles. It does not have a great deal of power, so it works much better on a hard surface than it does on carpeting. It is in excellent condition but is missing half of the cow horn on the front hood of the car and there is some damage to the box. In addition to the box damage that you see in the photos the box is missing one interior end flap. The Sheriff Sam box measures 6 3/4" x 6 1/2" x 4" and the toy measures 5 3/4" long x 6 1/2" tall x 3 3/4" wide. Some of the toy is tin and some is plastic.
