Perfect for harsh environments and very low temperature ranges, the 2.8K Weatherproof Temperature Sensor connects to any Sensaphone monitoring system. This sealed sensor is recommended for wet and/or dirty environments. If the sensed temperature goes beyond the programmed limits, it will trigger an alarm on the attached Sensaphone system.

Product arrived early and was exactly as described. One concern was if there would be enough wire length to run from the place I needed them to my.base monitoring other items. Yhere was.plenty. I hooked them up, polled the base unit testing normal and out of range conditions. Works perfectly.

Own an older farmhouse/cabin in the woods 200 miles away. No internet service so Sensaphone 400 is the solution for monitoring while away. The 2.8K Weatherproof Temperature Sensor works like a charm if you follow the directions that come with it and the directions from Sensaphone user manual. You WILL need the original user manual that came with your Sensaphone. If you lost the user manual, download it from the website. The sensor came with enough wire to mount it close to the Sensaphone unit. If you need to mount it far away from your Sensaphone, make sure to purchase additional wire. The sensor is small, so I taped it to an electricians fish tape and pushed it through a hole in the wall which already had a cable running to the outside. Very easy to do. The sensor also comes with a small mounting bracket and screw which was sufficient to mount it onto the outside of the building. Screwed close to the bottom of a cedar shingle. It was very easy to do and you can barely see it. Filled the hole in the wall with silicone after mounting. After connecting the wires to the Sensaphone and programming, it worked great. Now I can call my cabin and find out the outside temperature. Very handy as an additional cost-effective safeguard against freezing pipes. Overall an easy job for someone with no experience like myself. Clean install and after programming the Sensaphone it works great. Total installation with programming took about 1 hour. Very happy with the sensor and its performance.
