This Jet Kit Fits the 1985 and 1986 Yamaha Maxim X 700 water cooled type motorcycle with mikuni carbs.

Notice this type of pilot jet does not have the bleed holes in the side

This kits includes 4 stock Pilot Jets #35, and 4 one size over main Jets #107.5 and one shim for each carb needle

Stage 1 is for motorcycles with stock engine and with stock air intake and stock exhaust system .

Modifications to the air intake and/or Exhaust system to your motorcycle will change the air/fuel mixture to your carburetors causing a lean running condition.

Jet Kits will compensate for the lean running condition.

Lean running conditions can destroy your engine and decreases overall performance.

Jet kits are easy to install but does require some basic carb tuning knowledge. 

Refer to your shop manual for carburetor removal and installation.

NOTES:
* there are discrepancies between the parts manuals and the service manual information on the size of the 1985 XJ700-X main fuel jets; one source claims these carbs were equipped with #100 main fuel jets, while other sources claim a #105 size main fuel jet. Our experience leads us to believe that the correct stock size for the XJ700-X  models is the #105 size for both the 1985 and 1986 model years.
