Our CV joint puller adapter and large slide hammer bearing puller will create added torque to impose a large pressure on CV axle. This tool set could easily loosen and remove stubborn CV axles in minutes.
The set includes a 23-inch T-style slide hammers bar, a 5 lb hammer weight, a nut, and a 2-inch opening 2.5-inch depth slide hammer CV axle adapter. They will remove the axle assembly without damage on 1986 to current Taurus and Sable.
Assemble and install the set parts together, then position the adapter around the shaft behind the inner boot; Slide the 5 lb hammer weight back and forth to create torque to pull out the axle; use lubricant fluid for added ease could make the operation easier.
The slide hammer and puller design provide a straight and even pull to protect joint off damage. The round bead on the puller will stop the hammer so it can never hurt the hand pulling on T-shaped handle.
The product is made of premium steel, all the parts have hardened and finished with high-temperature oxide to ensure superior durability and rust and corrosion resistance.
