You are bidding on a 19th Century English Alleghany T Goodfellow Iron Stone China Plate The Scalloped Plate is about 9 inches across. Factory marked with a N. Dating the piece between 1829-1854. It is in the company's "Allegheny" Pattern, which depicts a Great and Classic Victorian Scene of two women and a man and a dog in a park setting with urns and trees overlooking a lake with boats and a castle and mountains in the background. It has a border with similar smaller scenes.Thomas Goodfellow operated between 1829 and 1854. Beautifully colored, BEAUTIFULLY DETAILED. Factory Marked and stamped on the back.
This specific piece was displayed in my parents kitchen for years. Mom had an entire collection of Flow Blue, Stoneware, Enamelware and Art Pottery and was visually striking displayed together. Time to thin out the collection. My 88 year old Mom will get the money, Reach out if you have any questions. Wifey will pack in a box in a box so the plate arrives to you home safely.
