5/16" Low Set, Black Steel Alloy.

Due to customer requests these 5/16" black alloy screws have been added to the USA fitting screws available. In other listings we also offer similar screws, but made from stainless steel (silver in colour) in a wider variety of heights/mixes.

To ensure screws are the correct height it is important to measure the height of your instruments saddles.

Supplied as a set of 12 screws + 1 spare    (5/16" = 7.9mm)

Adjustment key included

Will these fit?

Will fit American Standard Strat's 1986-2007, American Deluxe Strat's and American Vintage Reissue Strat's.

American Standard Strat's from 2008 and onward use finer threaded US screws than the others - The screws listed here will NOT fit!

As with all parts for Fender instruments the change-over point between parts is unlikely to be a precise year end and neck dates reflect when the neck was made rather than when the instrument was assembled.

Most Mexican Strats have metric screws, so these will not fit. Though there are exceptions including those Strats fitted with a USA made Classic 70s Bridge.
Early reports indicate the new MIM Player Strat with bent steel saddles also has imperial USA screws.

Imperial/USA screws have a more course thread than metric screws and have a slightly smaller diameter. Accurate measurement of the length of a removed screw is often the best way to tell the difference if no comparison is possible.

Metric screws should measure a number of whole millimetres in length - Typically 10mm, while Imperial/USA screws will not measure a whole number of millimetres - Typically 9.5mm
However differences are more difficult to spot between 8mm and 5/16"(7.9mm) screws.
